Description

Welch, Dry, Oil Free Vacuum and Pressure Pump featuring WOB-L technology. This particular model number is 2546B-01. The free air flow rate is 1.6 CFM and the ultimate vacuum rating is 60 Torr or (27.9inHg of Vacuum). This Pump comes with a power cord and a user manual. This is a very popular vacuum pump among laboratories, educational institutions, pharma, and biotech industries due to the fact that this pump is low maintenance and and oil free (dry) which can be used in indoor and closed rooms and environments without the risk of oil contamination. It does not come with connection hardware you will need to connect this vacuum pump your vacuum system. The Intake Port Thread of this pump is a 1/4 inch FNPT. Connected to this Intake port is a barb hose fitting for the 3/16 inch ID vacuum hose. To connect this pump to you vacuum system, you have two choices:

1. You can either connect a reinforce vinyl hose with 3/16 ID to the already present Barb Fitting.

2. You can unscrew the Barb Fitting and screw on your own fitting. Sometimes going from 3/16 inch ID hose to 1/4 inch ID hose will decrease your pump-down times by a factor of about 1.5.

Altitude Simulation Systems
Altitude simulation systems are devices that simulate a certain altitude equivalent by controlling the vacuum inside a vacuum chamber. Altitude is a function of absolute pressure, therefore if a certain pressure is accomplished inside a vacuum chamber, a specific altitude can be simulated from the set pressure. Altitude simulation systems can be configured to not only hold a certain pressure, a complete pressure vs time profile can be programmed to be run. Furthermore, pressure vs time recipes can be loaded and run based on test requirements.
Digital Vacuum Gauge Instruments
A Digital Vacuum Gauge is an instrument which precisely measures a vacuum level inside a vacuum chamber. Unlike a rough dial vacuum gauge, which shows only where the vacuum chamber is roughly with an error of up to 3% (a high as 1 inHg) a digital vacuum gauge will show vacuum levels up to 3 significant figure in Torr and millitorr – this makes the digital vacuum gauge ten thousand times more accurate than the dial vacuum gauge.
Our Work: Vacuum Storage of Pharmaceutical Products and Medical Supplies
A pharmaceutical manufacturer contacted us to build them a large vacuum storage system for their pharmaceutical products. They were looking for as much footprint as possible which is why they got a two-chamber system from us. They needed a total of 6 shelves per chamber including trays. Finally, they were looking to have both chambers to be placed on a table frame assembly with lockable swivel casters. What you are seeing is a two chamber system, each chamber is our 20 inch cube acrylic vacuum chamber, front load hinged door. Each chamber can be accesses independently while the other is under vacuum. The trays can be easily loaded and unloaded. This whole system can also be moved to anywhere in their facility.

Bubble Leak Testing or Bubble Emission Testing is a procedure where leaks are visually detected and located through the emission of bubbles while the test specimen is submerged in water. In this article, we will talk about using an acrylic vacuum box as a leak detection device. We are also going to talk about the advantage, disadvantage, and the bubble leak emission test procedures.
