Description

Sanatron Force Decay Leak Testing System is an instrument that will enable you to detect and quantify a leak via the force decay method. This instrument is a single channel instrument that enables you to test one specimen at a time. A force decay is a qualitative and a quantitative leak detection method.

The way a force decay test works is by inflating the specimen. This inflation is done by internally pressurizing the specimen through a pressurized air line or placing the specimen inside a vacuum chamber, pulling a vacuum, and generating a pressure differential. The pressurized specimen will swell up and apply force to the transducer. This transducer will measure the force applied and monitor the change in force over time. If there is not change in force, this means that there are no leaks since the pressure inside the specimen stayed constant. On the other hand, if the force applied by the sample decreased over a specified amount of time, you have a leak, this is because the air escaped through a leak path and hence decreased the pressure inside the sample which in turn decreased the force applied to a sample.

Please note that this instrument is not intended to be purchased as a standalone item but rather as a part of a whole leak testing assembly. Feel free to contact us to find out how you can implement a leak testing instrument into your quality control program.

Vacuum Decay Leak Testing Systems
Vacuum Decay Leak Testing Systems are Instruments that detect and quantify a leak by measuring the drop in vacuum (pressure) inside the specimen. During a vacuum decay leak test, the specimen is placed into a vacuum chamber, the vacuum is pulled to a specified setpoint, and the drop in vacuum is monitored and recorded over time. If a leak in the specimen exists, the air will travel from a higher pressure (inside the specimen) to a lower pressure (vacuum chamber). As a results of the additional air, the vacuum levels will drop whereas a leak can be detected and quantified.
Vacuum Controller Instruments
Vacuum Controller Instruments are devices that measure and control for vacuum inside a vacuum chamber. A vacuum controller consists of a vacuum gauge, control system, and an Human Machine Interface; options include vacuum pump relays and Vacuum valves. A vacuum Controller will enable you to store products at a specified vacuum level or run a vacuum vs. time profile.
Our Work: Modified 14 inch Cube Vacuum Chamber for Degassing
This custom job was a modification to our standard acrylic vacuum chambers. When it comes to working with the Us Military, they want all specs to be met 110% and they want it yesterday. The military does not mess around which is why they came to us since we know how important it is to meet specs and ship fast.
